Lone Palm |

We chartered from the Moorings and visited friends on Tortola for 20 years before building Lone Palm, completed in the year 2000. Our sailing guests in the BVI would tell us that it was the best vacation they had ever had. The excellent tropical weather tempered by trade winds, little variation in year round temperature, low rainfall, crystal-clear waters, sheltered boating with abundant anchorages, boulder-formed caves and secluded swimming grottoes - all were additional factors. But for us it was mostly the unhurried ambiance, wonderful beaches and water, tennis at Long Bay Beach Resort, salt-water fly fishing (Tarpon, Bonefish, occasionally Permit), boating, and a friendly Caribbean culture, that led to our commitment. We hope that you will share our enjoyment of Lone Palm.
